As someone who is also living in an 80+ degree humid “fall”, (shoutout to my mid Atlantic babes!), I kinda love wearing summery stuff (white, linen, dresses that don’t touch my body) for as long into “autumn” as possible. I’ll be missing them soon enough 🙏

That's such a lovely mindset!! I'll embrace the warmth while I can!

I’m considering doing this challenge because I have so many clothes and I don’t wear a lot of them. I need to figure out what I don’t wear because I don’t like it/it’s dated or because I just haven’t gotten creative with styling it. But I think I might go really slow and do it one day a week like every Monday I’ll do the clockwise challenge and other days of the week where what I want.

Also wanted to shout-out for Carhartt baseball caps. They fit my tiny head perfectly

"I need to figure out what I don’t wear because I don’t like it/it’s dated or because I just haven’t gotten creative with styling it." THIS. It's so hard to decide if you can keep something if you put a bit of effort into styling it — I also am trying to get realistic and reckon with the fact that I may not always put in the time to get realistic.

Yes, I love the one day a week idea — pls share if you do! And Carharrt is the best.

That is such a good point. Like even if we can find an elaborate way of styling something to make us like it, is it really something we would want to do on a regular basis? I could see how that would be a conundrum in deciding whether to keep an item and I will definitely keep it in mind when I do my challenge (plan to start next week when I return from a trip).

Can't wait to see what you learn!

"On day nine, I pulled the H&M striped dress above and couldn’t think of anything I wanted to wear less." YEPPP. I know that feeling. Interesting learning that you have more "weekend" clothes. Often people do, and it can be so frustrating because there are more weekdays! I am so into having clothes that cross over now. And another takeaway I have here -- is how excited you were and relieved when you switched directions and put on something you use a lot. I feel like you deserve to feel that way pretty much all the time! OH and wait, one more thing... put the jeans on and pair them with tops you don't always use. You love the jeans and feel yourself in them, so it's a good way test a top's viability! XOXO

I love these style ideas from the style queen herself! 👑 I think the "weekend" clothing debacle came about from working remotely for 5 years and living in mostly sweats. I only wanted to purchase pretty, fun things that made me feel like I could get dressed up during that time! Since I started to (force) myself to get dressed daily two years ago, I've tried to add more practical items to my wardrobe too, but this is such a good reminder that I can blend the two categories! Jeans with that top is a must. ❤️

Your closet is WAY more fun than mine 😆 I am inspired to get more special pieces instead of the basics I’ve spent the last few years collecting. If I did this challenge it would be “jeans & tee” and “jeans & tank” and “shorts & tee” etc.

It's so funny you say that because before this challenge I would have sworn I only have jeans and tees in my closet! I'm finding a lot of things I forget to wear! Also, I've seen your Indyx and your closet is fire 🔥
